The programme committee invites full papers, short papers, posters, and panel proposals on the maintenance, governance, and future of scholarly knowledge infrastructures.
Theme
Open infrastructure has won the argument and inherited the maintenance bill. Repositories built on project grants now underpin national mandates; identifier systems designed for journals now anchor datasets, software, and instruments; and a growing share of the record's readers are machines.
Meridian 2027 asks what durability requires: sustainable funding and governance, engineering for decades, standards that survive their authors, and institutions capable of stewarding all of it. We welcome empirical studies, theoretical contributions, critical perspectives, and rigorous experience reports in equal measure.
Scope
Topics include, but are not limited to, the following. Indicate your intended track (A, B, or C) at submission; the committee may reassign where a paper fits better elsewhere.

Deadlines
Please note: the submission deadline is firm. The system closes automatically at 23:59 Anywhere on Earth and late submissions cannot be accepted.
Procedure
Prepare an anonymised manuscript
Use the Meridian LaTeX or Word template. Remove author names, acknowledgements, and self-identifying citations; refer to your own prior work in the third person.
Submit via the conference system
Upload a single PDF, select your format and preferred track, and supply three to five keywords. You may revise the file until the deadline.
Double-blind review
Each submission is read by at least three programme-committee members. Conflicts of interest are declared and enforced by the chairs; meta-reviews accompany every decision.
Revise, register, present
Accepted authors submit a camera-ready version by 30 April. At least one author must register by 7 May for the paper to enter the programme and proceedings.
Questions
You may submit multiple distinct papers, but each manuscript goes to exactly one track. The programme chairs may move a paper between tracks where the fit is clearly better; authors are consulted before any reassignment.
Meridian is an in-person symposium. Remote presentation is granted only in documented cases of visa refusal or medical necessity, at the discretion of the programme chairs.
The Meridian Proceedings are published open access under CC BY 4.0 by Geneva University Press, with a DOI for every contribution. The series is indexed in Scopus and the Directory of Open Access Books.
There is no submission fee. Ten travel bursaries of CHF 800 are available for doctoral students and delegates from low- and middle-income countries; apply through the submission system by 15 January 2027.
