Fifteen years in Kleinbasel.
Founded in 2009 by Elena Voss and Marco Marchetti, the studio now numbers twenty-two architects across Basel and Lyon, working across residential, civic, and cultural commissions.

Four things we do not compromise on.
Site before form
Every commission begins with weeks of site reading before a line is drawn.
Structure is visible
We do not hide how a building stands up. Load paths are drawn, poured, and left exposed.
Material honesty
Concrete reads as concrete, timber as timber. Nothing is clad to resemble something it is not.
Daylight is a material
Measured, modeled, and drawn like any other — never left to chance or curtain wall.

04 — Timeline
- 2009Founded by Elena Voss and Marco Marchetti in a converted print shop in Kleinbasel.
- 2013First civic commission — wins the Cantonal Archive Extension competition.
- 2016Studio expands to fourteen architects; opens a satellite desk in Lyon.
- 2019Awarded the Swiss Arc Award, Residential, for Birsig Valley House.
- 2022Meridian Office Campus completes and receives BREEAM Outstanding certification.
- 2024Rhein Terrace Residence is published in Domus.

Two weeks minimum on and around the site before any drawing begins.

Draw
Structural logic first, cladding last. Every material decision is load-bearing until proven otherwise.

Build
An associate is on site every week of construction, not just at milestone inspections.
