Contemporary painter — Oslo, Norway
Oil and tempera paintings about water, memory, and the thin light of the north.
Working in series
Four ongoing bodies of work.
- Tidal Fields
- Wide horizontal oils tracking the coast at the moment water forgets its edge.
- Nocturne Studies
- Interiors held in low blue light, painted from memory rather than observation.
- Paper Rooms
- Small tempera-and-gesso panels built up in thin, chalky, forgiving layers.
- Salt Index
- Larger pigment canvases indexing tide marks, residue, and the colour of drying.
I paint the hour when a place stops being scenery and becomes weather — grey, particular, and about to change.
