We are Elena and Theo. We bought the keeper's house in 2009 with a leaking roof and a garden gone to fennel, and we have been slowly returning it to itself ever since. There is no front desk and no lobby music — just the smell of coffee, a long table by the window, and whatever the tide has brought in.
We keep the house deliberately small so that we can remember your name by the second morning and tell you where to walk that the guidebooks miss.

The bones are original — heart-pine floors that creak in the right places, brass window latches, a garden of fennel, rosemary and old climbing roses. We restore it with patience, not gloss, so it still feels like a house you were lucky enough to be lent.
