Lunch on the terrace, dinner in the vaulted room or at the shared table. The menu is short and changes with the boats — this is what it looked like yesterday.
Marinated anchovies, lemon, chilli, Taggiasca olive oil
Blistered thin bread, molten stracchino, sea salt
Garden leaves, shaved fennel, blood orange, pine nuts
Hand-rolled pasta, basil pounded by hand, potato, green bean
Whole sea bream, olives, capers, potato, white wine
Whatever came up in the nets, fried light, lemon

One seating, one table, five courses that Elio decides that afternoon. Wines are Ligurian and poured generously. Sixteen seats — house guests are held a place until noon.

Elio cooks like your most talented relative — nothing to prove, everything to give. The fritto misto alone is worth the drive from Genoa.
