Most requested
Suite Quatorze
The countess's own corner rooms, joined in 1987 but never modernised past her taste: the writing desk stays, as do the 1912 bookcases. Windows on two exposures; the garden is below and the Rodin's chimneys to the east.
Under the zinc eaves on the fifth floor, with a skylight over the bed and no neighbour above or beside. The smallest room we list anywhere — and the one our inspectors fight over.
Cancel in writing up to 7 days before arrival and nothing is charged. Inside 7 days, the first night is taken. No-shows are charged in full.
Arrival & departure
Rooms are ready from 15h; luggage is kept from any hour. Departure is 12h, extended to 16h for members when the house allows.
Payment
A card secures the reservation; nothing is charged until the house confirms in writing. The folio is settled at departure, in euro.
Questions members ask
Before you write to us
Yes. Any rate may be held for 48 hours without a card and without charge. After 48 hours the hold lapses quietly; we do not send reminders.
It should not be. Our standing rate is negotiated below the house's published rate and we check it quarterly. If you find a lower public rate for identical terms, write to the concierge and we will match it and explain ourselves.
Children are received at every house; cots and early suppers are arranged without charge. Dogs under twelve kilos are received at Beaulieu and at the Lake Como house, with a bed and bowl provided.
A standing 16h late departure when occupancy allows, station transfers by house car, and a pressing of two garments on arrival. It is printed on your confirmation so there is no negotiation at the desk.
